About the Community Forum

The Applegate Valley community Forum (AVCF) is the “town hall” meeting for the Jackson county portion of the Applegate Watershed. It grew from the Strategic Planning process in 1996-97.

The Mission of the Community Forum is to facilitate education, discussion, communication and action on issues that affect the quality of life in our community, now and in future generations.  It also serves as a Citizens Advisory Group (CAG) for land use planning in the Jackson County portion of the Applegate watershed.

Participation: all meetings are open to the public.  Community members who live, own real property, or operate a licensed or registered business or non-profit within the boundaries may cast advisory votes on issues that arise.  There are no dues, but voluntary contributions to support AVCF are welcomed.

Meetings: regular Community Forums are held at 7:00pm on the 3rd Thursday evening of the month, alternating between Applegate and Ruch.
