Applegate Fire District #9 Reports the Following:

FIRE SEASON IS NOW IN EFFECT

Fire Season began on Monday, June 16th on forestlands protected by the Oregon Dept. of Forestry.

Fire Danger is Moderate and the IFPL a 1. This declaration affects state, private, county and BLM forestlands in both Jackson and Josephine counties.

DEBRIS BURNING IS PROHIBITED, except in a burn barrel for which a permit has been issued through ODF.
Fireworks are prohibited

Burns reported on this page are compiled from two sources.  Applegate Fire Dist. 9 provides a report of burns on federal lands as reported by the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management in the Applegate Valley area. This is taken from the daily Medford Tanker Base report.   The state's Smoke Management Office report of burns on private, county, and state lands will also appear on days when this office issues a report of burns planned on these lands.
